The Local Cub Program

Learn by doing, with family beside you

Cub Scouts complete grade-level Adventures through games, building projects, outdoor skills, service, and shared pack activities. Parents and guardians take an active role, helping children build confidence, character, and familiarity with the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Pack 5391 and Pack 91 remain separate official units for registration and administration. Locally, they meet together and share leadership.

What Families Can Expect

A program built around participation

Regular meetings help Scouts learn the program rhythm. Pack events then give families larger opportunities to build, camp, celebrate, serve, and spend time outdoors together.

Grade-level advancement

Scouts complete Adventures designed for their grade while learning practical skills, teamwork, and the values in the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Signature pack experiences

Blue and Gold and Pinewood Derby anchor a program that also includes pack campouts, district Fall Family Camping, and a developing annual conservation project.

Parents make it possible

Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to attend, volunteer, help with activities, and support the pack as part of this family-centered program.

Getting Ready

Start simple and ask before buying

Casual, outdoor-ready clothing is appropriate for first visits and activities when a uniform is not designated. At pack meetings and special events, registered Cub Scouts are expected to wear the official field uniform, often called Class A. If a field uniform is unavailable, the pack-issued activity shirt, often called Class B, is required. Each registered Cub Scout receives one activity shirt at no cost to the family. This is a one-time issue. Ask a Cubmaster before purchasing a uniform, handbook, or activity gear.
